Free, unconventional, varied, and always in motion – this characterizes both the music and the life of Dutch pianist Arnout Jansen. From a young age, he has played classical, jazz, and electronic music, but he began his career as a doctor and programmer. After several years, his passion for music led him back to the piano. During the pandemic, he found refuge in Berlin, where the silence and isolation gave his creativity a powerful boost, allowing him to focus entirely on composing. His first EP, 'Retrace,' featuring solo piano works, is the result of this journey.

Live, Arnout creates an idiosyncratic, layered soundscape where piano and synthesizers blend seamlessly. Clearly influenced by electronic and minimalist music, his performances feature melodic and repetitive motifs that never bore. His improvisations are a captivating spectacle that continue to surprise the listener.
